A Note From The Founder

Started on a hand-me-down CRT. Still chasing the perfect run.

I'm Marcus Tran, and QuickBlaze started as a blog I wrote at 2am in a Surry Hills flat, hunched over a flickering retro CRT with a shoe-box of classic discs. It was one rule then and it's the same rule now: finish the game before you score it. Ten years on, we're still independent, taking zero money from corporate publishers to maintain pure gaming focus.

“If a game asks for 60 hours of your life, you deserve someone who actually spent them.”

— Marcus Tran, Founder & Lead Critic

What the crew's been saying

Real notes from readers who trust our desk with their weekend gaming budget.

“Bought a $110 game on QuickBlaze's word instead of the aggregate score. Best call I made all year — the review flagged exactly the slow burn I ended up loving.”

“I emailed a niche question about CRT emulation settings and got a proper, detailed reply within a day. Try getting that from a big corporate gaming network!”
